- 3 tbsp golden mountain sauce
- 1 1/2 tbsp white sugar
- 2 1/2 tbsp plant-based oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 pack dumpling wrappers
- 1 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil
- Garlic oil (to apply a small layer of oil to the wontons)
- Crispy fried garlic (to taste, for garnishing)
Instructions
- Prepare the spice mixture by crushing coriander roots, black peppercorns, and garlic in a mortar and pestle until fine.
- In a bowl, mix golden mountain sauce, white sugar, sesame oil, and plant-based oyster sauce until well combined.
- Blend the spice mixture with ground beef, egg, and cornstarch in a food processor until smooth.
- Combine the blended filling with diced carrots, green onions, and shiitake mushrooms in a large bowl.
- Shape the dumplings by placing filling onto wonton wrappers and sealing them tightly.
- Steam the dumplings on parchment-lined racks over medium heat for about 10 minutes until translucent.
